I cannot access emails or websites or even use the mouse on my 2015 MacBook Pro

my 2015 MacBook Pro is not letting me sign in. A rectangular box keeps appearing on my screen, asking me for a keychain password. I have never used a keychain password on my MacBook Pro. I don’t know why but now I can’t access my emails or websites. Does anyone know how to fix this problem?

MacBook Pro 13″, macOS 11.7

The keychain password is usually the same password you use to log in to your Mac with (e.g. your user password for the Mac). Have you tried that? And if you recently changed your user password for the Mac, or did a MacOS update, in some cases with older operating systems one needs to unlock the keychain with the previous password if the new one doesn't work.

I am suspecting something more serious is wrong here but it doesn't hurt to try the simple things first.
