HomePod music stops when playing on PC

Hi! I need some help. There is a Homepod in my small child's bedroom on which I set up an automation to play soothing music for him at bedtime. I have a desktop PC and I want to listen to music while I play at night but I can't because when I start listening on the PC the music stops playing on the Homepod. I need a solution other than creating an Apple ID for a toddler. Thanks!
