For the last month (give or take), my voice to text feature has been glitching. I will click the microphone and it lights up as usual. I start to speak and it will only type the word “church” over and over again even when I stop speaking. It’s a little freaky for sure and a bummer since I use this feature often.

I might be saying something like, “I’m going to the grocery store and then I’m going to get gas before heading home” and it will write “church church church church church church church church church church church church church church church church church church church”.
I am definitely speaking clearly and enunciating properly. I have not gone through any region or language changes. I just updated my iOS to 26.2 and it is still persisting.
Does this occur regardless of the application you are using to receive the dictation? If so, it sounds (pun intended) like your iPhone requires service. Start here.
