Pages does not reliably save printer settings in print presets

Hi all,

Using Mac Studio with 26.1 Tahoe. All apps updated. Lightroom, Photoshop, many others – and pages.

pages will not reliable save printer settings in print presets. Most settings are saved correctly when I create a preset, but printer settings (especially the paper types) for my Canon Pro-1000 printers are NOPT saved consistently. Usually, the paper type just defaults to the first one, even when I select the correct one and Crete a new preset.

I see others saying "just reset the point system". That is not an option for me: I have at least six printers, many presets, and some printers need special setup procedures. This is a mission critical Mac in my shop, which is basically a print shop.

Any ideas? Having to manually select paper type for each print is a real productivity kille Rin a high volume environment!
