Activation lock not showing my apple id information to unlock

I was locked out of my ipad air and had to do a restore. I hit the activation lock screen even though I removed it from my icloud.com/find devices and it's wanting the login but the email it's referencing is my icloud.com email not my apple id email. It won't recognize my icloud.com email as an account to reset password and it won't let me unlock with my apple id information either. How do I find my icloud.com email information and password?
