360 cameras and editing in Final Cut Pro

I've not done any 360 stuff but I'm looking at 360 cameras and wondering which one, if any, can be edited in FCP. I'm leaning towards the GoPro Max2 and I see there are plug-ins for DaVinci and Premier but can FCP edit natively or would I need to run it through GoPro's apps first? Would the other cameras (Insta360, DJI) be the same?

Thanks!

I think I've managed to answer my own question. I downloaded some sample footage of the GoPro Max2 and, as I suspected, the native .360 files won't import and need to be recoded as equirectangular files in an external program. I used GoPro Player as the stitching app and the resultant mp4 file imported. I just need to work out the editing process now.

Not ideal but it works. I'm not sure if the DaVinci and Premier plug-ins I've heard about are designed to eliminate this extra step.
