Edit not working after 26.0 update

iOS 26.2 has a lot of bug fixes from iOS 26.0. Whilst I am not 100% sure that it will solve this issue, it is best to try to apply the update (for security patches, at least). I hope that 26.2 have addressed this issue you are encountering.

It will not even work if I send it and then try and do it after it’s been delivered.

You only have two minutes to edit. Edits only work in iMessages. They don't work if the conversation is SMS or RCS.

Is anyone else having this problem?? i It now has a an 21.6 update, but I am concerned about doing that because I don’t know if it’s going to cause more problems, or whether it might fix the current issue. Any feedback that might be a fix would be appreciated

You should update to iOS 26.2.
