How erase an iPad when Apple ID is deleted?

An old iPad iOS 9.5, we forgot about when 2 months ago we deleted the Apple ID and email on Mac.com for the this iPad. We now what to erase it and give it to someone to use or recycle it. We need to erase personal data on iPad.
The device itself doesn't care if the email no longer exists. If that's the email you used to set up the device, enter it and the password and the device should open. If you had removed the device from www.icloud.com that would be something else.
You need to contact Apple Support for assistance.
The Apple ID account was deleted two months ago that is the issue because when s request a reset then erase function the password to the Apple ID account is requested. I do not have a response.
