iphone calendar has bogus entries

My calendar on my iphone has been showing bogus entries: "Don't miss out on this deal!," "Complete your profile," etc. It also says to "click on the link to download the profile https://ckme.us/t/G/Gj3ppG6". In spite of the https, it doesn't exist. The calendar entries show up in red text on a pink background. I cannot delete them. These items have shown up several times a day for thehttps://ckme.us/t/G/Gj3ppG6".

Had a chat with apple support. Turns out I had a calendar account loaded called something like “a deal for you.” When I deleted it, all the bogus entries disappeared. Problem solved.
