All messages gone after iOS 13 update

I have lost all my messages after iOS 13 update. This never happened with me before. I have my photos though. Any idea how can I recover my messages? Thanks!

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities! I see you're wondering if there's a way to recover you message threads, which I can definitely appreciate. Unless you backed up your iPhone some time before they were lost, there won't be a way to recover them as far as we're concerned. You can use these steps to find out if there's a backup that you may not be aware of: Locate backups of your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch - Apple Support. Beyond that, you'll need to reach out to your carrier to see if they have any options for recovering those messages.
