i purchased a USB-C 18 W Power Adapter for my IPad Pro. The cable is a USB-C to lightning. The cable fits into my iPad Pro but not the adapter.

Is it the right cable?

which cable should I get?

I contacted Apple help and I should have purchased a USB-C to USB-C cable.

The latest version of the iPad Pro uses the USB-C cable. What version of iPad Pro do you have? Did you not have a current cable to compare to?
