Just purchased a new 21.5" iMac and wish to set it up; need some instructions

12 year old iMac; recent new iMac. Rather different. We have been able to start it up but still must find out how to set up the little "tabs" so that my wife who is going blind can use it. She remains able to use the old style tabs but it is difficult. We also need to migrate all her old data over to the new machine and will work on that task soon. Thanks all for your help.
If you have a Time Machine backup (or a bootable clone backup) of the old computer AND it was 10.6.1 or later then migrating data is simple. Connect the External Hard Disk using a USB cable to the new computer and launch Migration Assistant and follow the onscreen instructions. You will fin MA in Applications - Utilities - Migration Assistant.
Push the powere switch on the back and follow the on-screen instructions. It’s very easy.
