WhatsApp Backup Transfer

Hey everybody!

I recently obtained an iPhone XR and jumped the Android ship.

Using my Google Account and Google Drive, I had a daily scheduled backup of the app.

I can see that the backup is still available on my Google Drive when using a computer, but I cannot fetch it using the phone app nor WhatsApp itself.

My question is - is there a way of using the WhatsApp backup data from my Google Drive to restore chats and all to my new iPhone?

It is not something severely important, but I would rather have them available as they were.

WhatsApp is not an Apple product, best you consult the app developer for support on their website/forum.
