Forgot Apple ID password
My wife need to reset her Apple ID password and it says in 13 days and that’s a long time she needs to be able to use her phone now

If it is already in the recovery mode, I doubt you will be able to reset the password.
Enter the Apple (iCloud) ID and click Forgot Password.
