iPhone 7 NFC Reader not working

the iPhone 7 supports reading and writing of NFC tags through third party apps, such as TagWriter. A business I deal with now uses tags, but although others with iPhone 7's are able to read these tags through the app, mine does not. Since ApplePay works, they are at a loss to explain.

Yes, I've tried TagWriter and the app the business uses. Both appear to use the same API, as the graphic is the same when the phone asks it to be placed next to the reader. As mentioned, others with 7's are able to read ok.

No, I didn't. I had the local apple store check the phone, and confirm all ok (any issue with the nfc hardware would have meant apple pay wouldn't work, which it does). I then had them remove the battery, clearing any potential issues in the RAM, but that did not help either.

I have just upgraded to 13.3.1, and will be trying the tag reader again tomorrow, to see if a firmware update helps. I'll let you know.

Meant to ask; did you happen to upgrade from an iphone 6, and use Quick Start to transfer your data to the iphone 7?

The upgrade to 13.3.1 made no difference. That's me out of ideas.
