Hello, DAVVVE!

Thanks for using Apple Support Communities! It sounds like you're unable to paste text into Keynote, since it consistently creates a table with the pasted text. I'd like to see if I can help.

Are you copying text from a source where it's formatted as a table, or is it a simple paragraph or sentence? It's possible you might have a style set up in Keynote, and pasting text to a slide causes it to be in table style.

Check out this support article for more details on table styles, and ways to delete a table style:

If this continues, I recommend closing Keynote, restart your Mac, then try opening a new document with Keynote to test if this continues.

Feel free to post an update for continued support.

Cheers!
