Why do I have an alias email address to my current Apple ID email? I’ve always had one email address @me.com. My alias email address is @icloud.com

And, there is a case where one's Apple ID ends in me.com. All of the rest, those created more or less recently, end in icloud.com. Aliases typically are used to disguise one's Apple ID.
