I movie 10.1 keeps failing unexpectedly when exporting a file

I am running i movie version 10.1 on my mac os sierra 10.12.6.

I am using i movie for the 1st time and I have created a project.

However, whenever I attempt to export the file i movie crashes.

I have considered maybe updating my i movie to version 10.1.6 0r .7 but cannot find any download link for this.

I have tried for hours browsing the net for a solution but the the usual generic answers don't work.

Any help or tips would be very helpful?

Hi, Londonguy_007,

To update/redownload iMovie 10, drag your iMovie 10 app from the Applications

folder into the trash, but do not empty the trash. Sign in to the app

store and open your purchases folder by clicking on your name at the bottom of

the app store side bar. You will see your purchases displayed, including iMovie

10. Redownload/update iMovie from there. If not successful, drag your present

iMovie app out of the trash and return it to the

Applications folder.

The above procedure should get you the highest version of iMovie that your operating system

will run.
