Safari keeps loading pages one menu-bar width below top of screen--though menu bar is hidden.

Drives me nuts--I want that space. What's more, it does it inconsistently in a way I haven't figured out so far. Seems pages will load full screen, then later some windows, or sometimes *every* single window will be lowered. AND, to top it off, as it were, sometimes, but only sometimes, when I try to adjust windows, they refuse to be adjusted. They simply bounce back down from the top of the screen. Nyah nyah!!!

I know this is a relatively small beef, but between Tab Bar, Favorites Bar, Tool Bar, Menu Bar, it adds up to a lot of real estate on 13" screen. I try to keep as much space open as possible, and this is harshing my spacious mellow.

Any ideas, folks? Thanks for help.

Hello herlajern.

Thanks for reaching out to Apple Support Communities. I understand that Safari is not consistently working as you would like. I will be glad to assist. I would start up in safe mode to see if the issue continues: How to use safe mode on your Mac

If the issue persists, I would test in another user account:

Let us know how it goes.

Cheers.
