Folder Sharing

When trying to share a folder I get this message: This file is inside a shared folder and cannot be shared on its own. It is not in a shared folder. How do I fix this?

I figured out what was happening with this issue. Within the folder I was sharing there were numbers documents that I had collaborations set up on. Once I took off the collaborations I was able to share the folder just fine. Now the issue is if the main folder is not shared with a certain person you cannot share or collaborate with them on anything within the main folder. I hope this helps resolve your issue as well.
