verification

I am trying to update my apps on my iPad. When I enter my apple id password, the "verification failed" message flashes. is there a separate password for iTunes and app store?

Password rejected when updating apps When I try to update some apps, I am asked to sign into the iTunes Store and put in my Apple ID password. When I input the correct password, it tells me verification failed. I can reset my password and put in the new password, and it still tells me it’s wrong. Any advice?

App Store update Verification Failed When I go to update my apps, I am prompted to put in my Apple ID password. Despite putting in the correct password, it tells me "Verification Failed - Your apple ID or password is incorrect." I know the password is correct, I can log into things like ICloud fine, and I've even signed out and signed back in on my phone multiple times. I've changed passwords multiple times to be sure the password is correct. The only time I get the verification failed message is when trying to update apps.

You should generally log-in to Apple iTunes and the App Store using the same AppleID as that used to sign-in to your iCloud account on your iPad.
