view device backup on Mac

how can i view what is on my device backup on my mac, so i can delete the ones that is not needed?

MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.12

To view your backups go to iTunes > Preferences > Devices.

You’ll see the backups, but you can’t look (or edit) what’s inside a backup.
