my emails aren’t sending and are sitting in outbox.

hi,

When I send messages they get stuck in outbox and don't get sent. Any idea of how to fix that please ? I'm using an IMac.

Hi, welcome to the Apple Users Community.

Are you using a POP/SMTP email or iCloud (iMap)?

iCloud email settings help can be found here:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT202304

POP/SMTP provided perhaps by your ISP or other webmail service outside Apple you would need to contact them.

They should basically look like this with your details included.

Sorry for the delayed reply. This is most likely an email account issue then, you will have to contact your provider by phone or on their website to get them to look into it. They can also help you reset passwords and correct any setting issues that may be occurring.

hi pete, I’m using a POP/SMTP email.

I’ve looked in settings and as far as i can see and know its ofline, . i have looked in mail connection doctor and the message is ---> trying to log into this SMPT account failed. Verity that the username and password are correct. Thanks ann
