Apple TV plus

I have appletv 3rd gen, when I mirror things like youtube to my tv via hdmi cable the volume is great but when I try and watch content from apple tv plus I get no sound. anyone help?

If you set audio to surround in the settings of the appletv and play surround enabled material most audio will be playing out of speakers that are not absent, so try changing it to stereo
