Is what you're seeing a box that looks like it's magnified text? If so, this could be the accessibility feature Zoom. To turn off Zoom, go to Settings > General > Accessibility > Zoom, then tap to turn Zoom off.

If it's not a magnified text box and something else, are you able to take a photo of the text box on her iPhone? We ask because we'd like to get a better idea of what is happening exactly.
