Is iPhone really water proof?
My iPhone staid under water about 30 seconds and it doesn´t work anymore! But, in the website, it is wrote that it is water proof by 2 meter untir 30 minutes. Is it true?

Now you can go read what IP68 actually means. But you must also read footnote 3:
iPhone 11 is splash, water, and dust resistant and was tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 2 meters up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions and resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.

Hi, just to be clear that an iPhone is NOT water proof but only water resistant.
You can check this: About splash, water, and dust resistance of iPhone 7 and later
Water and other liquid damage to iPhone or iPod isn't covered by warranty
You can bring your phone to the Apple Store or Apple Authorized Service provider. You can book an appointment on getsupport.apple.com or use the Apple Support app.
Resistant, not waterproof.
You are also ignoring the footnote.
From Official site:
No, it is not waterproof, and Apple never said it was. It is water and dust resistant. The test for water resistance has to be much more stringent than the phone will normally encounter. It is measured under laboratory conditions when the phone is new with distilled water.
You’re welcome. I do see the point that it is misleading, but it’s how water resistance is measured and reported for all products. For example, a watch that is rated to 10 meters can probably survive a dunk in a pool, but not for Scuba diving. Dive watches are rated to 100 meters, but shouldn’t be used deeper than 30 meters (amateur divers shouldn’t be going even that deep). Testing always must be more rigorous than normal usage for any type of product. For example, most drugs must be tested safe for at least 10 times the normal dosage.
Why are you repeating what has been posted by two different people already in a thread that is already marked as Solved? I’m sure you want to be helpful, but you would be more helpful by finding posts that don’t have answers yet (and a better chance of getting points, if you are into points).
But the site says that the iPhone can "survive" under water by 30 minutes! I'm very disappointed! Worse, he in Brazil the price to fix this is the same the a New Samsung S20+.
No, it does not say that. Read it again. And the Samsung isn’t “waterproof” either.
It is written: "Water resistant to a depth of 2 meters for up to 30 minutes"
Thanks, Lawrence!
