Plug In Power on MacBook Air

Previously, it was necessary to run on battery periodically, because Li-based batteries do need to be used to maintain their health. Now, Apple's battery health management (introduced in macOS 10.15.5) takes care of it. Here's an example (right side) , green shaded is AC power, blue line is charge level and the blip is where my Mac ran on battery while plugged in, going down to 93% before charging back to full.

In fact, it's best to keep it plugged in as much as possible, that will reduce accumulation of charge cycles and prolong the lifespan of the battery. You cannot overcharge your Mac, and your Mac will run on battery occasionally even when connected to AC power, to maintain battery health.

Yes, just leave it plugged in overnight. But also, there's no real need to shut down. You can just close the lid and it will go to sleep. I often go weeks without rebooting/shutting down my Macs.

Is it okay to leave your MBA 2020 plugged in for a week. I read in previous 'discussions' that you have to use your MacBook not plugged in. They even advised to do it every day to keep the battery moving. I'm pretty new to MacBook, would love to hear something.
