Importing photos/videos from Apple Photos into FCPX

I’m attempting to import photos and videos from the photos app into FCPX to do some video editing. When I click on the icon to import from photos, my list of photos and some videos appear. I’m noticing that not all the photos and videos that I’m looking for are shown.

In an effort to simplify this I created an album from my last trip. The album in the photos app contains 90 photos and 60 videos. However when I open the album in FCPX to import them, only 91 items are shown. 90 photos and only 1 video. What give here?

Please help.

Thanks,

Ray

FCP can only import the photos that are stored locally and not those in iCloud.
