How can I get a photo slideshow with music to play on a tv?

Hi - here are three ways I can think of (probably there are others)
1 - Plug your mac into a tv via an HDMI adapter.
2 - Use an apple tv and mirror your mac to the apple tv
3 - Export the slide show as a video file, and transfer that to a device that can play it on your tv (or if you have a tv that can play video files off a USB stick, do it that way)
