I have 17gb of free space on my Apple Watch, but it’s telling me that my “storage allocated to media” is full. Now I can’t add anymore songs to my Apple Watch even though I have ample space.
Is this happening to anyone else?

I was just informed by Apple that they put storage limitations on all Apple Watches. According to them, media storage for Apple Watch is only 8Gb.
So, even if you have ample storage, it wouldn't matter. Music, podcasts and audiobooks have a total storage limitation of 8Gb. Not sure why lol.

To check the capacity directly on your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Usage. The Storage section displays the amount of available space and the amount of used-up space. Swipe down the screen to see how much space is taken up by each app and type of content, including Music, Podcasts, and Photos.
I have 17.4GB of free space. But it tells me that the “storage dedicated to media” is full. Why is there a storage limit for media when I have over 17GB of free space in total...
