How to I share iCloud storage between my IMac and my MacPro Computers

How do I share my iCloud between my MacPro Laptop and my iMac Computer? I have documents in iCloud on my iMac that does not show on my MaPro Laptop and vice versa.

The MB Pro has iCloud set up for Desktop and Documents and I know I can access them through finder on my MB Air, but what would happen if I set the MB Air for iCloud set up for Desktop and Documents too?

All your Macs need to be signed intro the same Apple ID. See here.
