MagSafe charger too slow to charge my iPhone XR, should I do something in settings to make it work properly???

I got the MagSafe charger, I also bought the 20W USB-C adapter.

I tried to charge my iPhone XR, even without the case, but it takes too long to charge it.

Is there something I have to do on the phone (settings maybe) to make it work properly???

i mean when I charge it with the regular charger no problem, it charges fast; but when I use the MagSafe it take too long that I have to switch to the regular charger.

Ah, I just noticed that you said an XR. The XR has a maximum wireless charge rate of 7.5 watts, so it will be no faster with the MagSafe charger than it will with an off-the-shelf Qi charger. It can charge at a 15 watt rate with a wired charger.

There are no settings directly related to the MagSafe charger. I understand that you are using an iPhone XR however that should not get in the way of charging with 15W when the charge level in your iPhone XR is appropriate. Note that the charging speeds vary from charge level to charge level.

Is your 20W USB-C charging block made by Apple? Furthermore, since you have an iPhone XR and not one of the iPhone 12 models then the MagSafe charger does not snap in place. Ensure that you position the charger properly when charging.

Note the response to you by Lawrence Finch. He cited that the iPhone XR can only be charged with up to 7.5Watts Wirelessly and therefore will not be able to take advantage of the 15Watts charging offered by the MagSafe + 20W USB-C charger. This means that the entire charging process will be slower than expected and in line with the rest of the Qi chargers. You will therefore not see the fast charge of 0% to 50% in 30 minutes on your iPhone XR.

I think, not sure, I found my answer.

I had been trying to charge it connecting the USB to an extension cord and after I posted this question I plug it in straight to the wall socket and had charged "faster", I mean like when I used the regular cable.

Could this be the answer???

I´ll try again this way once my battery run out to see how long it takes.
