Safari home screen icons can’t be deleted

I created a couple Home Screen icons from safari. I used to be able to delete them like an app. But now the delete option isn’t there.

how can I remove them?

That shoukd not happen unless you have Screen Time restrictions. Turn Screen time off.

If that doesn’t help try a forced restart
