New Mini Mac Help Needed

I just got a new mini mac and am stuck at the log in screen (my name or guest user account) with sleep, shut down or re-start options; however, it wont recognize my apple wireless mouse or keyboard. Therefore, I can do NOTHING (cant get to any system preferences or anything beyond this screen) and have already tried a re-start. Please help. I have also already 1) make sure they are disconnected from old mac (yes they do work on other imac), 2) made sure the switch is turned to green and that they are charged.

Help please!

If it's the recent Apple wireless keyboard, it can. be connected to the Mac mini with its charging cable to use as a wired keyboard.

If you can't get the mouse to work, try Mouse Keys.

Control the pointer using Mouse Keys on Mac - Apple Support

Pressing the Option key five times should turn Mouse Keys on or off.

We usually recommend having a wired keyboard and mouse available for setting up a new Mac mini, until you can gain access to the Bluetooth Preference panel and work the pairing issues from there.
