I have encountered this problem twice now. I use Google chrome for my general browsing and work. I have tried to download a PDF from a site and it loads a new tab in chrome. However, after that I am unable to do download the PDF into my files app. Please advise how I can overcome this problem. Thank you.

I was able to fix it (on my iPad, IOS14)

in Chrome, goto ... settings, Privacy, clear browsing data, select clear cached images and files, clear

That solved it for me.

Alternatively, use Safari.
