Keyboard won't turn on

The keyboard is dead, the mouse works.

Have attempted to hold down:

control, option, cmd on the left side while booting up, nothing.

Any suggestions.

iMac 27″, macOS 10.15

Plug the keyboard into your Mac using the provided Lighting to USB cable.

If it’s a wired keyboard, connect it through a usb-hub if you have one. This sometimes solves the problem.

if you are talking about a wireless keyboard, do as den.thed says
