Apple TV 4th gen. (A1625) stuck on tvOS 11.4.1 (15M73)

I have just unpacked an A1625 Apple TV. System tells me that tvOS 11.4.1 (15M73) is up to date when trying to fetch new updates. Any suggestions here how to get the latest tvOS?

Apple TV is successfully connected to the internet.

tvOS 11.4.1

tvOS 11.4.1 was current in 2018. Unpacked as in: new device? Amazing that a unit wasn’t shipped earlier.

Any suggestions here how to get the latest tvOS?

If the regular update method from Settings won’t fetch the current OS, then

Reset or restore your Apple TV to its factory settings - Apple Support (internal/on-device – easier) or
Restore your Apple TV - Apple Support (external through a computer – alternative, if the above doesn’t solve it)
