Thank you for using Apple Support Communities. From our understanding, you would like to redeem a gift card and then use it to pay for an Apple Music subscription, do we have that right? You can follow the steps here: Redeem your App Store & iTunes Gift Card to redeem the gift card.
Once complete, you can follow the steps here: Join Apple Music on your iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, or PC. Keep in mind that because it is a subscription, you will have to put another payment method on file aside from the gift card however, as long as there are fund on the gift card, the payment for the subscription will come from there first.
