Does any other Mac/Apple user find an attitude when going to Office Depot or Office Max or another store to buy a cable or accessories?

Today I went to my local Office Depot. The guy who I first flagged down admitted he knew nothing "technical" but he got his Manager who he said knew everything. The Manager kept putting Apple down at every turn! He said he did not have anything for a MacMini! I wanted a HDMI mini to a regular HDMI because I thought I might need it for my monitor setup. He said, "Apple always makes things so complicated!" I was shocked. He was insulting my choices. Obviously, he was not helpful! This attitude really surprised me. Anyone else run into this? How did you handle it?

I would have asked for the phone number of his regional manager and the address of the CEO. That usually makes these low level neanderthals turn white as their blood drains from their face. Office Depot/Max is a good place to buy paper clips, binders, and map pins but nothing else.
