Apple Watch Loop (under 12 months) damaged
A split has appeared on my Apple Loop iWatch strap (reason unknown). Because this is a Apple product is it covered by a 12 month warranty?

it should, the warranty rules are set by the government rather than a private company in most of the world

I'm not sure where government's set those rules but it is not true in the US. As long as it is not user damage they are covered and should click on the Contact Support link at the top right of this page.
A tear appeared in my sports loop It was three months old and I have apple care. I was refused a replacement and told my hand was probably to big. The salesman in the shop fitted the solo (sports) loop assured me at the time that was the correct fit . I assume it was mis-sold and am very disappointed in Apple.
I would go to an Apple store but Customer Support will have to do?
Was it like mine - looks like a split in the side?
Yes just a tiny split and not what one would expect from Apple
