Audio Book not syncing

I purchased an Audio Book on my iPhone, but for some reason it's not showing up on my MacBook Pro. When I try to download the book directly on my MacBook I get the message this device is not authorized to download prior purchases, or words to that effect. When I go into my Apple ID, it shows my iPhone and iPad are authorized devices, but not my MacBook. How do I add it? The instructions I find don't seem to correct the issue.

See Authorization vs. association - Apple Community. Your iPhone and iPad will be associated devices. Authorization is a different mechanism. Use Account > Authorizations > Authorize This Computer...
