Resetting Apple Watch 4
To reset your Apple Watch 4, you hold the side button until you see "power off," then hard-press the "power off" option until you see the reset option. Holding the crown does nothing; the support article is wrong.

They are not automated responses they are responses that work and also the support document is correct many people on this forum have followed that page and solved their problem.
It just doesn't work for you not it doesn't work.
fieryjack is not automated.
He may use copy & paste answers at times, but only because he answers so many users questions.
There are only a few times I feel I can offer something extra to a fieryjack answer, otherwise his answers stand and have been found useful to users asking questions.
My point is, the support article is wrong. I appreciate your automated responses, but I've solved this problem and am suggesting that Apple update the support article.

You press the side button not the crown.
Press the side button until you see the power off option. Then hard-press that option on the screen.
Pressing the side button again, after seeing power off, also did nothing. (I just tried it.)
Thank you.
