Reloading iOS 14.6

How can someone re-download/install an iOS, specifically 14.6? I've an issue that seems only to be solvable by re-installing the iOS.

A full reinstallation of iPadOS requires you to Restore to Factory Settings. All locally stored data and settings will be completely wiped - and a fresh copy of the most recent version of iOS/iPadOS supported by your device will be installed. At the time of writing, iPadOS 14.6 is current:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod to factory settings – Apple Support

An alternative strategy is to attempt a DFU Restore. Unless you have good reason to do so, this method is not recommended; a DFU Restore is a low-level system recovery process - that carries an increased risk of system failure.

After restoring to Factory Settings, you may restore your data and settings from your iCloud or iTunes backup - should you choose to do so:

Restore your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch from a backup – Apple Support

You should note that restoring from a backup will not, on its own, reinstall the Operating System.
