Why does it seem that I get hacked so often and how can it be prevented?

I’m almost constantly on private Wi-Fi was a password as well as my personal security being routed and additional router additional password and Google is the security company for CenturyLink which is the company who I get the Wi-Fi through why does it seem that I get hacked so often and how can it be prevented?
