Sending word document from Pages

I am trying to send a document from Pages via Word but every time it goes straight to my Desk Top. What has gone wrong.

Pages > File menu > Export To > Word… > Next… and choose the filename and export destination before clicking Export. Pages remembers the last save or export location, so you will have to change that to where you want it saved, if not the Desktop.

Save and Export panels have a minimalist, and expanded view based on the direction of the arrow toggle in the indicated red box. Pointing up, it is an expanded view, which provides more flexibility in your save location selection.
