Can’t send text

I turned my cellular data off yesterday for a little while then turned it back on and could not send regular text messages. I can receive messages (iMessage and reg text) but can not send regular messages from iPhone XR and my iPad. I’ve updated phone, carrier service, restarted phone at least 4 times, and have tried contacting Verizon but they put me through the same things I’ve already done. Need help as my my wife is on a droid system.
