Apple warranty

Hi. I am planning on buying iphone in the US but will use it in the Philippines. Will it still be covered by warranty?

Note this statement from the iPhone and iPad warranty:

"IMPORTANT RESTRICTION FOR iPHONE AND iPAD SERVICE.

Apple may restrict warranty service for iPhone and iPad to the country where Apple or its Authorized Distributors originally sold the device."

Do not expect much warranty service if any at all outside the country of purchase.
