Unpair Apple Watch when Watch is gone
How do I delete the Apple Watch from my Iphone if I don't know where the Apple Watch is?? Getting frequent requests to update on my phone.

It seems to me the steps shown in the article would work.
Here’s another reference, and this one doesn’t even mention a need to have the Apple Watch nearby.
