Cannot download large video files from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my laptop (windows PC)
I need help. I cannot download large video files from my iPhone 12 Pro Max to my laptop (windows PC). My phone is completely up to date…no updates needed. The phone is only 6 months old.
I download photos and smaller videos all the time from my iPhone with no issues at all. I connect my iPhone to my laptop (windows PC) via a USB cord. Upon connection, I get a pop up window that recognizes the photos/videos on my camera roll and asks me to import them. No problem. However, this time I recorded 3 long videos: each about 50 minutes long and shot in 1080p 60fps. They are very large files. I can see them just fine on my iPhone. But when I connect my iPhone to my laptop, it doesn’t see/show those large files. It will recognize/see all the other photos/videos on my iPhone so I know the connection is working. I can download everything else just fine. But those 3 large files don’t show up so there is no way to download them. It’s like they are not on the phone, but I know they are. You can see them on my iPhone. They just don’t display on my laptop when the iPhone is connected. I tried seeing them via Windows Explorer. Within Windows Explorer, I can go to Apple iPhone/Internal Storage/DCIM/2021_06 and see all the photos and smaller videos there too. But the 3 large files don’t show up. It’s like they are not there. So there is no way to transfer them off my iPhone and onto my laptop. I know the files are there because I can see them on my iPhone under My Albums > Recents. So they recorded properly. I can play them just fine on my phone.
How can I get these videos off my phone and onto my laptop? Ideas as to why my laptop cannot see them on my iPhone?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated. These are volleyball match videos of my son’s team at Nationals and several families are very anxious to see these videos. Right now I’m completely stuck. HELP
