What is LKDC and why is it set up on my macbook?

I saw found a file titled 'LKDC-setup.log' in my Log folder, Google hasn't been helpful in figuring out whether this is a normal thing to find or something that shouldn't be there..

I don't use Bing or Google for search whatsoever. Searching Apple's Support pages provides no description of this directory; however, I'm not the most proficient in Apple searches. I installed macOS Mojave in 2019 but this directory shows November 12, 2018 (?). A very curious date. I'm a seasoned UNIX/macOS professional but I'm definitely rough around the edges when it comes to this UNIX derivative and due to my many years out of service in tech support. Any ideas are greatly appreciated! Thanks! -Jason

CFNetwork (or Core Foundation Network) is a framework on the system that is the basis for the networking layer on Mac OS X. LKDC (Local Key Distribution Center) is a service that extends "single sign-on" capabilities into ad-hoc networks. It is normal for these things to be running.
